Oxford's federated collegiate structure presents one of the most complex implementation environments in UK higher education. MADF successfully deployed the Tribal SITS Fees & Funding solution across the central University, then extended that rollout into the independent Oxford Colleges — each a separate legal entity with distinct financial processes, governance, and stakeholder communities. The programme required deep expertise in both the SITS platform and the political and operational landscape of collegiate higher education, delivering a unified, accurate funding infrastructure that supports thousands of students.
MADF was engaged to define Sheffield's future-state academic model within Tribal SITS — a foundational piece of work that shapes every downstream student record, reporting, and compliance process. Alongside this, we led the development of the initial end-to-end TO-BE business process design for the Assessment and Awards module, aligning academic policy, regulations, and operational reality into a coherent, implementable blueprint. This programme laid the architectural groundwork for Sheffield's broader student systems transformation, ensuring the institution could scale confidently on robust, well-designed foundations.
MADF created and led a comprehensive transformation programme for the University of Kent, spanning the complete student journey from initial enquiry through to graduation and beyond. The programme encompassed the identification and implementation of new technologies across each stage of the applicant and student lifecycle — integrating digital touchpoints, student record systems, and operational processes to create a coherent, efficient, and student-centred experience. This holistic approach ensures that technology investments are complementary rather than siloed, maximising long-term ROI and supporting institutional strategic goals.
Following a significant cyber incident that disrupted critical institutional systems, MADF was appointed to lead the stabilisation and recovery programme at London South Bank University. Working under intense pressure with compressed timelines, we restored operational confidence, established stronger technology governance, and simultaneously created a full transformation programme encompassing new technologies across the entire applicant and student lifecycle. This dual-track approach — recovery and transformation running in parallel — required exceptional programme discipline and stakeholder management, ultimately positioning LSBU on stronger operational foundations than before the incident.
